Managers

Managers

The ‘first circle’ of stakeholders (Managers) is built on partners’ collaborators (e.g. EDEN, EDENext) working in forest management and owning the sampling sites (e.g. ONF in French departments), public health (e.g. Santé publique France), veterinary public health (e.g. Anses), conservation. We take care that all these stakeholders’ groups are represented for each country. We have also identified and contacted stakeholders acting at the European level (e.g. for public health, ECDC European center for disease control).

Stakeholders of this first circle are strongly involved in the project. We have presented them the goals and methods of the project in a manner accessible to all. We are carrying out phone interviews with them to explore their knowledge of rodent-borne diseases, the way they manage them, the knowledge gaps and difficulties concerning rodent-borne diseases they consider important. This will enable to grasp their priorities and concerns, to identify an appropriate and meaningful way of communication, and to guide or adjust some of the project activities with regard to their concerns.

In each country, we will organize in 2021 a working group meeting involving the national and local stakeholders that will have a two-fold objective: i) discuss collectively the main results of the project (including interviews and questionnaires); ii) reflect on prevention and intervention measures concerning rodent-borne diseases and elaborate generic and specific recommendations adjusted to local situations.
